Travelling Ireland
This book has three stories to tell, the first being about the preparing of a pair of Morgan horses for a long distance drive and looking after them on their journey. The second story is about the people they met whilst on their travels and the reminders of the past relating sometimes to the country's often tragic history and finally the account of the Irish carriage, often unique in design that has travelled the same roads in the past three centuries.
The book is illustrated by photographs, oil sketches and cartoons made by Malcolm Coward as well as reproductions of contemporary drawings, prints and paintings of carriages from the past.

The Horsey Life by Simon Barnes
This is by far one of the best horsey books I have read for a long time. It is the story of Simon Barnes and his scruffy but remarkable mare with a silly name, but more importantly their bond together. The book is written in a light hearted and hilarious way, but is essentially about a friendship that will be pushed to its limits.
Simon Barnes is a multi award winning chief sports writer for The Times, a novelist, nature writer, the author of a dozen books as well as a horseman.

Whispering Back- Tales From A Stable in the English Countryside by Nicole Golding, Adam Goodfellow, and Monty Roberts
Nicole Golding and Adam Goodfellow
Introduction by Monty Roberts
The authors run a stables in the Cotswolds and specialise in curing problem horses. It is never an easy task and often involves changing the habits of the owner as well as the horse.
The pair have travelled a long way to get to where they are today - but they have been united by a common passion. After a chance meeting with Monty Roberts, they gave up everything to live out their dreams and show that it is possible for ordinary people to become 'horse whisperers'.
Their world is extraordinary, particularly through their unusual methods of teaching, and as you meet the cast of characters, both animal and human, that surround them, you'll find it impossible not to be won over by their life that is unfortunately never as stable as it should be.
