How Your Horse Moves

How Your Horse Moves by Gillian Higgins Ref: CO517E

Gillian Higgins has written this book which is divided into three sections, it is intended to be used to aid the rider in understanding and assessing the way horses move and to be able to identify exactly what a horses capabilities are.
Gillian Higgins paints the musculature and skeleton on her horses and demonstrates how your horse is moving.
The first section of the book takes the reader on an anatomical journey through the technical aspects of How your horse moves. It will also teach readers the basic principals that will be referred to later on.
The second section looks at how the horse moves from bending to jumping to working in an outline, this basic understanding should be very beneficial in riding, training, analysing ways of going, improving performance and caring for your horse.
The final section suggests ways in which the rider can keep the horse moving freely, paying particular attention to the musculoskeletal system. It contains a wealth of practical advice on how to maintain the horses condition for optimum performance.
Colour photographs throughout.
