This is by far one of the best horsey books I have read for a long time. It is the story of Simon Barnes and his scruffy but remarkable mare with a silly name, but more importantly their bond together. The book is written in a light hearted and hilarious way, but is essentially about a friendship that will be pushed to its limits.
Simon Barnes is a multi award winning chief sports writer for The Times, a novelist, nature writer, the author of a dozen books as well as a horseman.
