All complaints will be acknowledged within 2 working days. They will be investigated thoroughly and we aim to provide a preliminary response to your complaint within 5 working days.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. You can check the contents of your shopping cart at any time by clicking on the icon at the top of the page. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept credit card payment - your credit card details are safely encrypted for your security. If you are shopping from Europe, or the USA, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

If you are ordering from outside Europe, please select the 'Rest of the World' option and provide Country as part of your address.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch.

Shipping And Handling

Books tend to be heavy and expensive to ship. We use Royal Mail - printed matter - to aim for delivery within 7 WORKING DAYS in the UK, and no more than 28 days to the rest of the world. Packing and postage is charged at £4.75 for UK delivery.

If you live in the UK and require next day delivery please telephone us on 0844 848 1660, before 2pm Monday to Friday, and request that your order is sent out by this method. The charge for this is £7.50 and we will require your credit/debit card details to charge the additional cost.


EUROPE & THE REST OF THE WORLD - delivery is charged at cost and although a charge of £4.75 will appear on your order confirmation, if this does not cover the cost of postage, we will contact you to advise you of the correct amount and the order will not be despatched until we have received your consent to this additonal charge.


Delivery Schedule

We aim to process your order as soon as possible. If we receive your order before 2pm Monday - Friday, whenever possible we will despatch on the same day. There may be a slight delay if goods are due in stock within 48 hours in which case we will hold the order to despatch in one parcel. International orders are generally received in under 28 days.

Your full consumer protection rights apply and you have seven working days from date of delivery to cancel your order and return the goods (in an undamaged condition) for a full refund of the purchase price.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

Books are VAT free. DVD and Gift prices includes VAT at 15 %.

Credit Card Security

All credit card transactions on this website are processed externally by PROTX who are one of the best known and secure credit card payment processors available. We do not collect or hold any of your credit card details through online transactions on our website.

As a further level of security, we employ THAWTE security certificates and socket layer (SSL) technology at any juncture on this site where you enter personal details, you can verify this by looking for the https://... in the address bar and the golden padlock symbol in your browser.

Guarantee

If we send you the wrong book or DVD, we will cover the return postage and despatch the correct item. If your purchase is damaged in transit, please e-mail us and we will arrange return and a credit or refund. Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for a change of mind - we will exchange if the item is returned in 'as new' condition but the additional postage costs incurred must be at your expense.
Please note we must be notified no later than 4 weeks after you have placed your order. If you have not notified us within this time limit we may not be able to accept returns or re-send items lost in the post.

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent.

The BHS does not disclose buyers information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

Remittance Terms
