This year Burghley Horse Trials celebrated its 50th Anniversary.
With 33 fences and 45 jumping efforts and at the heart of Captain Mark Phillips’ spectacular 6,650 metre retro Cross Country track was the fantastic new lake crossing.
After the Dressage the top 20 were separated by less than 20 points with Germanys Simone Deitermann in the lead and our own William Fox-Pitt in a very close second (both scoring less than 40 marks). The scene was set for a truly nail biting finish as William was out to re-write the history books, after his five previous successes on Chaka in 1994, Highland Lad in 2002, Ballincoola in 2005, Parkmore Ed in 2007 and Tamarillo in 2008.
This DVD will definitely warm you up on those cold winter evenings because you won’t be able to sit still.
